ERWIN LUCAS (NETHERLANDS) Born in the Netherlands in 1972 Erwin became a Maiden fan in 1986 when he heard Wasted Years for the first time. His first Iron Maiden concert was the famous Monsters Of Rock Festival in Tilburg in 1988 and he never missed a Maiden concert in the Netherlands since then. Erwin started collecting solo stuff and all kinds of data about things all Iron Maiden members and ex-members did before, during, and after the time they were in Maiden since Bruce and Adrian did their solo albums. 10 years ago, Erwin started to write all this data down in a book which became he first book called ‘Outside Iron Maiden’. After that it all went like a rollercoaster. Erwin got to meet all the ex-members when he got really close with Terry Wapram, so he and his mate Andy came up with the idea to do a compilation album with a few ex-members: ‘Origins Of Iron’. Following the album they did ‘Burr-Fest’ in 2017 and a few years after that until Covid ruined it all. Burr-‘Fest’ made it happen to get bands like Airforce and Gypsy’s Kiss back together and to get Tony Moore introduced back to the Maiden fans. Well. we all know what happened to those bands…. In 2022, Erwin decided to write a part 2 of his book, because of all the new information and all new releases by all Maiden men. It got releases in 2023 while Erwin was on a small promotion tour he did with the acoustic Iron Maiden tribute band MaidenUnited with Dennis Stratton on guitar.

Following a short-lived solo project called ASAP, he left Iron Maiden in 1990 and, after a year-long hiatus, formed the band The Untouchables which later became Psycho Motel. In 1997, Psycho Motel was put on hold when Smith joined the band of former Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson. Smith and Dickinson would both return to Iron Maiden in 1999, after which the band gained new success.
