MAIDEN AVENUE [1999-2026]: The Iron Maiden Genealogy in Eras and Lineups” is the second and final part of Iron Maiden’s family tree, covering a total of seven musical decades. It starts with the early school bands of teenagers Nicko McBrain and Bob Sawyer and concludes with Simon Dawson recently joining Iron Maiden and participating in the ‘Run For Your Lives Tour’. Emphasizing: this project is the largest anthology of the Maiden universe in existence! In this volume, we revisit the late 1990’s, starting with Iron Maiden performing as a sextet, followed by bands like Blaze, Samson, Di’Anno, among others. The 2000’s bring collaborations in projects, tribute compilations, artist and backing band partnerships (Paul Di’Anno), and charity events. In the 2010’s, amidst countless bands, Blaze Bayley stands out as the ‘headliner’ of activities, making fans wonder how he managed to organize time for so much. We also see Bruce Dickinson engage with Jon Lord’s masterpiece, ‘Concerto For Group And Orchestra’, and sing with an orchestra. In the 2020’s, there is a musical hiatus due to the pandemic, but meetings continue, Adrian Smith and Richie Kotzen’s band releases a couple of albums, Nicko leaves Maiden, and Paul Day touches the fan community by releasing his farewell song before passing away. Additionally, Paul Di’Anno continued with concert activities worldwide, and before his untimely death, he released a new album with the band ‘Paul Di’Anno’s Warhorse’ and a compilation album with some never heard gems.
